Chiropractic SPinal Adjustments

In our office we typically use manual adjusting (with our hands) techniques that we were trained in at Palmer. With that being said, we also want our patients to have an enjoyable, stress-free experience, so we received more training in instrument adjusting (Activator) for those patients who prefer it or need it.

Extremity Adjustments

As you may have read elsewhere, we are big on treating the cause of your problems. A lot of times, this is in the extremities as well as the spine. Your feet will thank us for this!

Orthotics

With the foot being the very first joint to come in contact with the ground or surface you are walking, jogging, or running on, it becomes a very important joint biomechanically. If your foot isn't stable, everything above that is compensating for the foot. This problem is corrected with orthotics. Orthotics that we prefer to customize to each individual... after we adjust the foot, of course.

Soft Tissue Mobilization

What is all that? Have no fear, it is not as scary as it sounds!

If the examination reveals soft tissue mobility problems, the soft tissues (muscles, tendons, etc.) will need to have some work done to restore their mobility. In short, if your soft tissues are in a shortened position, elongated position, or are being asked to perform tasks they are not accustomed to (compensations), they can develop fibrous adhesions that need to be released.

Rehabilitation

This isn't your typical 3 sets of 10, 2 times per day!

This is geared more towards retraining your movement patterns. Once your movement patterns are where we want them, then you can add strength, power, speed, etc. You quite literally need to crawl before you walk, and walk before you run!

Pediatrics/Pregnancy

Chiropractors are trained to treat kids! Yes, even those brand new, cuddly newborns.

In our office we treat kids because it is a critical developing period and if something is a problem now it will definitely continue to be a problem as they grow. Remember as we said in our About Us section, if your child is army crawling or running only swinging one arm this is NOT normal and can have long term effects on how their body and brain functions.  If you develop proper movement patterns from a young age, it is far less likely you will experience issues in the future!
